Only ten days to go now till the Pelikan Hubs. The second pen that will be with me for the event is probably the most stunning pen I have in my collection. With mid-blue cracked ice material and rhodium trim I have previously described the M805 Vibrant Blue Special Edition as a wow pen.

This nib left the Pelikan factory as a medium but was ground into its present state as a 0.7mm cursive italic by the nibmiester Richard Binder. It is simply a glorious nib.

The second of the recently purchased Diamine 150 Years inks to enter rotation is Lilac Night.

It looks bluer in the ink swab than the bottle label - this may be a quirk of my scanner.

This is more mauve in real life than what appears in this sample. An OK ink that would shade better in a broader nib. I love the line variation that you get from a cursive italic.
